hopefully you get and post pics soon...the acceleration of the FIT is what you expect for the 109HP...it is very peppy though and it picks up it speed fairly well

imo the fit's native territory is the narrow winding streets of the urban jungle. the fit can park places many cars can't, it has a tight turning circle and it is very nimble. on the freeways the fit is less fun, especially when you are lugging around a couple friends.

i would say the fit is 'adequate' on the freeways, not 'great'. the fit is 'great' in city driving.

Thumbs up

As long as you realize the car has a 1.5L engine don't go expecting neck snapping 8 cylinder acceleration.

I own a Fit Sport Automatic in VBP.

The Honda Fit is lightweight, super nimble, a cinch to park and has plenty of get up and go for this class of vehicle but don't expect to win too many stoplight dragraces in a Stock Fit.

One thing I did notice yesterday while driving over a couple of bridges yesterday was that in strong crosswinds - hold onto that steering wheel as I was getting pushed around!

Overall, I'm personally love the car and have yet to feel the car lacking in performance.

As someone who actually owns one and drives it every day I can attest that it is a great highway driver.

Ditto, I have over 2500 miles on mine now, mainly hwy carpool with three other guys it still pulls the hills fine and I have no problem passing, as far as wind goes is as stable as our 04 accord.

Yea, I can totally imagine the Fit getting knocked around a bit by strong crosswinds. I drive a '99 CR-V and it has that problem too

Thanks! Me too. Still saving up money though so I can make low monthly payments. Hopefully, I'll have one right after summer, if not then maybe sometime before the year is over...I hope I can find a manual Fit when I'm ready to buy
