Just need to vent about my awful luck the past few months

So, It started in July when a piece of ...well...here's a picture

flew off a truck and into to the front of my car while going 70 on the highway. ripped the plastic pieces underneath, put a gash in my lip and bent the bumper (the bumper isn't bad, you really have to inspect it to see where it bent) and put a ding in the control arm.
my car has since been duct taped underneath while waiting for the claim to go through.

A month later, while at my fiances shop, a bolt ends up in my tire and ruins it, so I switch to used wider tires (100$ for four) that rub just a tiny bit but figured I could make due until the winter and buy a new set in the spring.

Last week I wake up to a huge crack in my windshield, call and make another claim...4 days later, come out of the mall and yet another HUGE crack..THEN

on the way home from the mall, a huge racoon runs out in front of me and breaks the bracket holding the fog light in on the passenger side of the car and once again, pushes on the broken pieces of plastic so, now I have tire rub because the tires are too wide in the first place.

The past few days I have dreaded driving my car...luckily, it is in the shop today for a new windshield, and getting the accident damage repaired in one shot. Hopefully my bad luck is going to end!

hahah, it's funny because prior to all this i had no claims, no accidents, NOTHING. At least none of it has been my fault.

how does your insurance feel about your recent problems? Going to up your premium?

nope, I'm very lucky because everything was comprehensive and therefore, my rates don't go up. The object coming off the truck was in motion, and comprehensive and a windshield is under comprehensive as well.
Even if I go a new insurance company, they won't hold it against me. Pretty lucky in that respect.

oh and the guy brought the windshield and it was blue, so looks like that will not be happening today....it never ends haha

didn't catch it, but did the truck that dropped the metal object cover it? at least it didn't go through your windshield, or loose control of the car. glad you are ok.

i was too occupied trying to get the car onto the side of the road and didn't get any of the info on the truck. My insurance company covered it in full.
I basically had the best case scenario for where it hit, no damage to my oil pan or gas tank..which could have been awful, and obviously, didn't go through my windshield.

Wow! sorry to hear about your streak of bad luck, but you know the saying, there's always a rainbow at the end of a storm. Hope things will start looking up for you and things get back on the right track.

On a silly note, becareful not touch your husband in anyway, you don't want to break anything on him as well. :P

He's my FUTURE husband...Haha, luckily, my bad luck has pretty much stuck to my car...although I am sick today

I'll be ordering some new parts with my bonus tomorrow, so the fit will have some nice new accessories to show off, and hopefully nothing else will happen! *crosses fingers*

Same thing happened to me a year ago but not as bad as your experience. I was following a car and it threw a piece of metal(2 inches wide, 12 inches long, and 1/8 of an inch thick) on my car.
