Okay, it was time to pull the OEM all weather matts out and clean them. The interior vacuume routine.

I pull them out. Hmm...I think...these seem mostly rubber, I bet Tire Shine Foam would clean them up nicely.

Wrong. Bad Idea.

Way too slick....way too sticky..what a mess....

End up pulling them out again, using Dawn Dishwashing soap and cleaning off the residue....Okay..so sometimes you learn from your own stupidity. No long lasting harm...no foul...

Put them back, and actually the dual cleaning has them looking real good. They haven't looked this clean and nice since I put them in new. ...and as I drive the past week....a suprising side benefit. The "stupid" tire foam spray...which I do NOT recommend using...had a fragrance added. It's a nice subtle odor. My Fit 6 month old Fit has a "New Car" smell again!

Well I can't say I'd do it again...because it was a pain in the butt, but for now...the matts look great and my Car smells new.
