New Windshield

Hi FitFreaks,

After 2.5 years of wonderful use, we came out into the garage one morning last week and there was a 15 inch crack in the windshield. This is a 2008 Fit Sport.

We did not see any pock mark to start the crack, but later we did find it down very low near the dash....so hard to spot it. We think it was an acute change of temp which caused it.

So...phone insurance, and Geico said they could replace it...in my driveway...for $50. And they came out on Black Friday.....and they came from 2 hrs away.

The guy was awesome...changed the old for a new windshield...took 40 min., and he cleaned all windows and vacuumed the car.

This is what I call 'Old Fashioned Service'.

Sweet, I have Geico too. Glad to hear that they did a good job.

Is your comprehensive deductible $50, or do you have a glass-specific deductible of $50?
