I believe the federal government is trying to make ESC at least an option on all cars in the near future. Congress has given the NHTSA untill October to propose rules requiring standards on stability control. I'd certainly pay extra for it! <-- You hear that Honda?

What he said. I havn't gotten into one weather or condition related accident in my fit my civic hatch or my sentra. Yet my buddy wrecked his 540 on a guardrail and my ex ripped up her fathers CTS both of which have some sort of stability control. Its also alot about the driver and having lots of "don't worry about it the car will" features tend to make for an ignorant/lazy driver.
