Find a Fit to, Have a Fit
Find a Fit to, Have a Fit
I'm new to the whole forum thing. I have been reading the post for acoupla days now, and I have discovered that there are alot of Freaks out there! I am glad to be apart of the Fit Freaks Club. I just discovered the Fit about 3 wks ago when I was looking at the Civic on the Honda Site. I was an instant freak !! I cant wait to have a Freakin' Fit ! The Civic was no more an option. I want to have a Fit in my drive.
I will be ready to make the jump in late Oct or early Nov. I wonder if I will get it before Christmas. Do anybody know if there will be more available in the late fall in the states ? Or will I be doomed to wait weeks or even months before I can have a Fit . I am having to wait longer than I want to now, I hope I dont have to wait very long after I put a dwnpymt on one.

Welcome FittasticDave! "Best things come to those who wait". Everyone who doesn't already have their Fit is pretty much waiting, also; I may have the longest wait...early 2008! You're better off not thinking about it, that way, you'll be surprised when it does arrive. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the company. lol

I'm looking at around the same timeframe as you Dave. My current car's tags expire in October, and it's not worth renewing them. However, if I need a ride for a couple of months my parents have an F-150 collecting dust since neither one of them wants to pay the gas on it.
My strategy is as follows - at the end of July I'm going to shop all the dealerships in the area and see if I can get on a waiting list for a Sport M/T in white, orange, or black. If nobody has the answer/price I want, I'll continue to shop through August and Sept. to see if I can find the trim/tranny/color I want. Seems like quite a few people here have put a car on hold with a deposit as low as $200, so I'll throw that down to be on the waiting list, and pay the rest of my down payment upon delivery.
That'll give me time to find the car I really want, and to be in the position to put the down payment I want to put down on it. Since I'm still a college student that's a big consideration for me, so the waiting period once I find a dealer that can bring in the model I want at the price I want (not a penny above MSRP) will actually work to my advantage.
In the meantime since I finally found my *it* car, getting into my '94 Saturn SL1 every day is that much more painful. But a few months for what I really want, at the price I want, and the monthly payment I want (meaning I meet what I want my down payment to be) will be more than worth it.
