Very happy with the Fit. Have a SSM Sport M/T.
My wife is even happier with the Fit. She's always been a Honda gal, and after driving a Geo Prism as her last car, she is relieved to have another Honda.
I'm not too crazy about the high seating position, going from my Mazda MX-3 to the Fit is a pretty big change in driving position. But the Fit handles better. Go figure.

over 1800 miles so far, cuts corners very effortlessly and is a joy to wiggle through tight spots in traffic, I wish it had more aggressive acceleration but thats not this car's mission.
Edited to add - I've gotten a bunch of second looks from other Honda drivers as I pass them on the road, some guy in a new Civic even slowed down rolled down his window and gave me a thumbs up as I went by!

I freaked out a bit after putting a hold deposit on a base model at the first deallership. I had never bought a new car, all of mine were old and used and never what I wanted just what was cheap & availible asap. So putting cash down on something new was a little intimidating. The dealler fed me lies on delivery dates and I found another one. During all of this I knew I really wanted the sport, but thought "eh, I don't need any of the perks" My mom is actually the one who talked me into the sport model! I told her about the car and showed her the little book the dealer gave me and she didn't understand why I was going for the base model.
I thought about it and went to the second dealer with determination! 2 weeks later my red Fit came in and I have never thought twice about it! I love this car. I have had 3 people stop and ask me about it, just last night as I pulled into my driveway some lady was walking by and we chatted for about half an hour about it. I think she is going to go buy one now.

Just got my SSM Sport AT and it has met or exceeded my expectations as hyped in this forum. I only have 230 miles on it over 3 days. I have about a quarter tank left so it looks like I am going to hit 30+ mpg on my first tank in 50% city driving with A/C on about 50% of the time. I also like the handling, space versatility, paddle shifters and quality. Took some co-workers on a nice spin today and they were impressed with all the same aspects. Haven't been as impressed with a car as much since I got my first Honda, a 1976 Accord M/T. The Fit fun factor is growing on me.

A coworker asked about my car and one of the details I spoke about was that the tune up time is around 100000 miles. His comment was Wow that car really is Fit then. there are so many good puns when talking about the fit. I like to see the person/s talk came up with the name Fit.
I'm glad it dosen't have day time running lights. I can't stand those things.
When someone runs into you cause they didn't see you, get back to me on that opinion.
