Problem with roof rack

I recently bought a Thule roof rack (400xt Aero Foot Pack) with long load bars (58"). Ive put the rack on my car 3 times now and every time I end up with a high pitched whine coming from one (or more) of the doors (I think its the drivers side, but am not sure). Its definitely some air leak at the door seal from where it hits the foot of the rack. To be clear this isnt the low pitched noise that comes from the poor aerodynamics of having the rack n the top of the car (which I hear as well, but can deal with - I know about fairings as well), this is another sound.

Rack Attack customer service just told me to make sure the feet were attached tightly, and make sure the measurments were right. They are as far as I can tell. The sound makes it so that I take off the rack when not using it, otherwise it drives me crazy. Anybody have any possible solutions?

Thanks a lot

I have the same rack, but have never had any problems with it. Not even if I put it up without measuring. I would just say to check your measurements and make sure everything is square, and go from there.

On one of my racks I just put a small piece of electrical tape on the leading edge of the clips and that must have filled a slight gap and stopped the noise.
