Change your own oil. No worries. The Fit has easy access to the oil filter.

5 out of 9!!! Crazy. Just tell every car tech that you have "hidden cameras in the car, so do it right!!"

I've had two of my cars serviced at Jiffy Lube in Lomita, CA on the PCH. It's a really small Jiffy Lube, and I always sit outside right in plain view of the car, watching what they do. I see them do the flushing and changes right in front of me.

Sucks that this is happening. Not everyone has the time or resources to DIY their fluid changes and maintainence.

For one, I live in a condo with a parking lot, where it is NOT permitted to do car repairs or servicing in the lot. (other than basic stuff, like washing, waxing, detailing, etc.)

So many of us risk getting screwed, but I always like to watch when stuff is being done to my car, but some stuff takes a long time so unless you want to stand there for 4-5 hours straight, you roll the dice there.

But marking the old part ahead of time is a great idea.

I took my 98 Cavalier to Brake check and asked for an oil change, on the way home the engine sized and welded together due to lack of oil. It turns out they didn't put in the right oil viscosity.. and they ended up buying the car from me at market value... from there I had my 04' AerioSX which got hit by an 18 wheeler 3 weeks after getting it. So now I got my Fit hehe
