Satellite Radio and iPod playing through USB
I just bought a 2011 Fit, non-sport version. The stereo has an auxiliary button and plug, as well as a USB port. When I plug my iPod into the USB, my music plays via the auxiliary option on the stereo.
My question is this: I am about to have my Sirius satellite radio receiver installed, and the installers will use the auxiliary port. This doesn't prevent me from playing my iPod, does it? And assuming it doesn't, how do I go back and forth between the two when there's only one auxiliary button.
This may be a dumb question, but I would appreciate any insight you might have!
Thanks.

I would assume you could use either. I always use the port in the glove compartment for my ipod and flash/thumb drive.
I am also thinking about hooking up satellite radio. Please post a photo of your installation when it is completed.

My XM inno runs through the AUX. I remove the aux cable when not in use. ipod sits in the glove box always connected. I've never had an issue, though you can't play both together lol
I mounted the XM dock next to the 12v port below the dash. Will soon hard wire power to the dock, but will keep the aux cable for play. Sat antenna is under the shark-fin I replaced the stock antenna with, fished the feed in under the stock antenna base.
Seems to me the aux button will over ride the usb when there's something plugged into the AUX port.

New member...cruising through the forums for MORE info on installing Sirius radio module through my Honda dealership. Bought a 2012 Honda Fit Sport and twisted their arm to get the Sirius module installed...last 2012 on the lot filled with 2013's. I've been reading about some mods done by drilling, cutting, duct taping, velcro their units to dash, cup holder, seat, door pockets and suction cup windshield setups. I want this simple setup to be as clean as possible without anyone knowing I have Sirius other than the antennae on top of the car. I'm not into the other setups. All the other readings I've discovered talk about the only way to get Sirius is with the Navi unit installed in the dash. The Honda Navi unit is crap! You're better off with your smartphone. So if I understand this right, the module/tuner unit will connect to my existing radio setup and Sirius accessed through the Aux button...I'll be sure to provide extensive details on this install. The next option is to install an after market hands free Bluetooth...I have several leads on this too and I'll post more info on that too. Thanx for all the info so far
