Hi... New member here. I want to know about the fit
The fit is the way to go. As you did, I researched about 9 months before I bought my honda fit. (purchased in march) I bought the fit as a high MPG DD and have a '99 3.8L 325HP Mustang with full suspension as my weekend/track car. Before I stored the mustang I had both my '08 fit and my mustang siting out side my apartment, on most days I chose to drive the fit. I'm not exactly sure why but I just preferred my little fit over my fully built mustang.
If I were you, before you buy the suspension upgrades for your accord, I'd test drive the fit. Take a long drive if you like how it drives. A car salesman will not tell you to go back to the dealership if you tell him that your not ready to turn the car around. See how you like it before you invest several hundred into your current car, as you could use it to lower your monthly payment.

To anyone who is interested in seeing more of my Accord, here it is (Coyote lol):
This shows a progression of the car from when we took it off the lot in 09 with 20,000 miles, to just recently with 64,000 miles. It needs a good detailing and some slight TLC, and it will be better than ever:

A pic of the "Suicide door" I recieved when opening up my door one day in Nov. 2009
... That was a bad day.

The pic of the car that did it:

And..... A couple weeks after the accident it was fixed, and has come a bit of a way (Morimoto MH1 retrofit, Acura TL RSB, removed intake resonator, and the aforementioned mods from the first page of this thread):
