This happened twice in two weeks. On the front-left brakes, I had a small rock wedged between black plate shield and rotor causing a loud squeal. I removed the rock. However, a week later I had another rock wedged bewtween brake pad and rotor causing yet another squeal. I brought this up with the Service Manager at Honda. He said, "I'll check into that. It's not likely that you would have this problem in this short amount of time." I don't drive on rocky roads either. Hope this doesn't happen again or to anyone else.

 

yeah that is annoying, i always hate having to pull the brakes apart to get at that rock. though i don't know what can be done about it, i always accpeted it as a part of driving.

 

Never had that problem.

 

I have seen it once on a mina van. It was an easy fix but it drove my freind crazy
