So we went to a dealership just to test drive the '11 fit sport. Big difference.

Sales person wanted me to get a trade in value for mine. After takes they were willing to give me $12000 for my 08 fit sport manual with 80k miles Ssm on it. Their new white fit sport '11 auto was 18.5k. Difference was 6k + sales tax on 18.5 (about 1800)



Yet I still did not make the deal. Kbb says my car is $12.5 for excellent and $1000 less for good. He was willing to give me my asking price but I didn't want to get into debt...

What did you guys think of the deal?

Having driven my grandparents GE, and my GD....both bone stock. GD > GE just IMO.

Yes, i was about to pull the trigger, but i couldn't see myself getting back into debt. I did the calculations in my head and it woulda cost me another $8.5k to get the car... what?!! I mean a good deal nonetheless, but not for me.

I'll have some parts for sale soon. I need to sell the fit.. it's time for me to move onto something automatic.

Going to sell the GD3 SSM fit sport for a ... civic hybrid Still in the honda family, but just in a different genre. I'm getting tired of shifting and my wife wants a quieter car despite me already putting back the stock exhaust. Maybe it's the tires that are really loud. They are Nitto Neo Gen ones..

A progress Rear sway bar, Honda OEM LED Tail lights, maybe some OEM vent visors, LED 3rd brake tail light. Maybe some more I cannot think of.

I'll be in Novato tomorrow for some errands. If you wanna meet there, we can work something out.. However, the swaybar is still on my car so you'll need a jack and possibly more tools to take it out as it requires the spring to be loosen on both ends.

wat i thought abuot the deal... i think you are getting a nice trade value. i sold my 08 GD MT last month for over 12K but that was because mine only had like 26K miles on it.

i dont know if you're a car guy or not, but i can tell you that the AT on the GE is terrible... i mean it does wat it's suppose to do, but shift map is not great, paddles are a joke, not fun to drive vs MT. i know because i have one (mine's a 09) which my wife uses. definitely get the MT if you're going for an upgrade to a new FitSport.

No, I never did go through with the transaction. I instead sold it to someone else on CraigsList. I ended up buying an '06 Civic Hybrid instead. Love that gas milage!
