Im not a huge fan of the wrx sound either. gross.

I hadnt thought about the Element motor/drivetrain. And as much as I like my m/t, id be ok with an auto-tranny on this beast. small sacrifice for such awesomeness.(if it were to come to fruition).

No complaints here about our Subaru transmission.

Well it is a boxer... and Subaru is definitely not for the masses like Toyota and Honda.

I love Boxer engines, especially the ones on BMW motorcycles.

There is more Range Rovers around here than Subarus... I have no idea where all of these yuppie trash people are coming from but I wish to hell they would fill their damned swimming pools overnight instead of when I am wanting to take a shower...

Oh yes.. I can almost guaranty that My Fit has been driven on unpaved surfaces than any of the Range Rovers... I imagine some of them are driven on graded surfaces they drive on when checking on their horses... I don't know why it is that people that move to the country insist on having horses... People that were growing vegetables are now getting rich selling hay but not so much this year.. Bad drought... People are setting up vineyards all around here also... Deer love grapes and they are thick... Hogs root up anything and they are as thick as deer.

I thought everyone in Texas had horses... Just kidding. Sounds like you're set for your meat TC. Deer and wild hog... Kinda like Ted Nugent country on TV!

Dear God don't even get me started on those vehicles... Go anywhere my ass. Granted the supercharged Rover sport is pretty nice(strictly on-road of course) anything else is just a gas guzzler. I don't know how many times my friend has called me drunk at 3 am cause he got his Range stuck somewhere and needed me to come pull him out with the Jeep.

Range Rover, it'll take you anywhere as long as it's within 15 miles and by a paved road. And sometimes not even that far..

15 years ago I had some goats.. In need to put up some more fence so I can have more... I like a cross breed of Spanish and Barbados .. The Barbados can stand on their hind legs and eat low hanging branches and leaves as well as grass and weeds, and the Spanish goats are wonderful lawn mowers... Both are constantly crapping and fertilizing the soil... They can turn an overgrown mess into a park like setting in a short period of time...Barbecued Cabrito is a great meat for tacos. but they stink pretty bad while cooking and are much tastier than horrible smelling than wild hog... In a year or to I plan on having some eating critters for trading and eating.... I have enough land that I could make some money from them, chickens and rabbits ... When I can do no more to my car I'll have that to keep me going.. I might bring some of my Mexican relative up from South Texas to help.. Ted (DRAFT DODGER) Nugent has some acreage near the land Daddy Bush bought for his idiot son after he was schooled on how not to sound so damned much like a Connecticut Yankee and he ended up sounding like he was from the hills of eastern Arkansas..There is no nutrition in the food bought in Grocery stores... It is possible I can improve my health by doing this.

The whole reason I swapped the K into my car was so I could get very good MPG....I never take it past 3K rpm or over the speed limit I hypermil the shit out of it

Im sure the swap is possible but It would probable be only realist to do if you had the shop space, tools and skills to do the custom work that is needed.

Curious - what sort of MPG are you seeing with the K24 Fit?

If I had to guess I'd probably say around 27 avg tops. Which is still pretty good considering you can probably drop it a gear and haul ass away from things that get much worse MPG's.
