I am considering buying a Fit. Looked at one yesterday and looked under the front and rear bumpers for the metal loops that are on most cars and could not find them. Are they there? I want to be able to carry a kayak on the roof and need front and rear anchor points for tiedowns.

 

The tow hooks, which I'm assuming you are talking about are (well threads for them are) hidden behind circles in the bumpers. In the spare tire kit, there is a tow hook to fit in the threads. However, there is only one. But there are aftermarket versions available that would suit your needs. Hope this helps.

 

Also, do a forum thread search on 'canoe' and you'll find a lot who happily carry boats on the Fit.

Thanks for the replies. I looked for these as I have seen them on other vehicles, but didn't see them on the particular Fit I was looking at. I checked out any Fits I saw on the street today and they all seemed to have the circle where the tow bolt goes.
