Ethanol free gas, anyone tried and compared?

I noticed that a gas station locally called "gales" has premium gas that is ethanol free.

has anyone compared the fit using gas containing "up to 10%" ethanol vs ethanol free?

I'm gonna wait till the warmer weather hits and do a full tank of ethanol free, and then a tank right after of the normal stuff.....

I use 94 octane in my Supercharged Si, and I would get 32mpg highway and like 25mpg city. When the cooler weather hit, that plummeted. (winter gas.......)

I get 32mpg or so in my Fit now, using the 10% ethanol gas.... think i'll see a real world/noticeable difference?

I don't use premium gas, but ethanol-free gas is sold in my n'hood and I usually buy it. Couldn't say if it makes any difference or not. It costs just a little more.

I would use it and keep good records and share what you fine. Listing oil and tire pressures too. Ethanol requires 3.5 percent more fuel at least so you should see better mpg. Keep in mind bad weather and traffic will lower your mpg so keep that in mind during your driving cycles. My fit averaged 35 in the winter and 40s in the summer with BP premium. I did experiment and the mpg came down slowly to 32 winter and 37 summer, so I did see about a 10 percent improvement and more in the summer.

I tried it. It smelled and tasted just like regular gas.

BP Ultimate smells different than any gas I ever burned.

Ethanol has less energy per unit than gasoline (76,000 BTUs/gal compared to 114,000 BTUs/gal) so engines require more fuel to do the same work.

In a Consumer Reports article, CR tested E85 (85% ethanol) in a truck and it got almost 30% less mileage than when it ran on E10 (10% ethanol).
The ethanol myth

I have friends that have tried E85 in their vehicles and because of the loss in mileage they need to find E85 at about 2/3 the price of regular gas to break even. If regular costs $3.50, the E85 would have to cost about $2.45 a gallon to break even in dollars per mile!
