So long, thanks for having me.

Well, after 4 years and 85,000 kms, we bid farewell to our beloved Honda Fit Sport last night. She was a great little car but there was just no way to accommodate our growing family. Thanks to everyone on the forums for the great info, keep up the good work.
I'm not sure what the vehicular situation of the OP is... but I currently am single and only have the Fit. If the situation were to change anytime soon and found myself with multiple children... I wouldn't replace the Fit, but add another vehicle to it.
As far as I am concerned, there's no possibility that I would be with my entire "family" 100% of the time. And in fact would probably find the Fit sufficient for my needs most of the time. Especially once the children have become old enough not to need baby seats... as I have travelled with all four of my nieces and nephew (3 girls and a boy, ages 3 to 11).
My point being, I would've kept the Fit along with getting a larger vehicle.

I understand about needing to let it go if financially unable to keep it and another larger car. Legally you can't run around with 6 people in the Fit, so in a way the OP may have really needed to get something larger as we don't know all the details. Maybe he has another weekend car or one for when the family is not all together.
I'm sure the Ody will serve you well, I still wish Honda would bring over the JDM model and badge it an Acura. I think it would sell quite well. It is more car-like and low slung, and being that Acura wants to have a luxo-sport sort of identity, it would fit in perfectly as it is a really good drive.

Thanks all for the well wishes. Our other car is also a small hatchback but in reality we'll frequently have the situation of all 6 people together in one vehicle. On top of that, some of the kids are quite young meaning multiple strollers, luggage, diaper caddies, etc. (Parents will know). Given that 1 Graco stroller just barely fit in the trunk of our fit when we had passengers in the back seat, this wouldn't have worked with our new family situation. I was going to keep the fit as the second car for commuting every day to work but in the end we decided to keep the other hatchback instead for sentimental reasons.
