New Fit Freak logging in ...
Hello World!
Just joining the community, having just purchased a 2010 Fit Sport MT (in Blackberry Pearl -- the "Purple People Hauler"! Honestly not my favorite Fit color, but it was a decent deal and I think it will grow on me). Car pickup is Monday.
Dual use vehicle planned. It's replacing my '04 Accord Coupe, which while a great car, wasn't a great complement to my other car, an '06 S2000. So after six years of dueling two-doors, I finally decided to go with something a bit more practical. The S2000 is the summer toy and track car, so initially the Fit is the commuter and winter car.
But ... the plan is to gradually convert the Fit into a B-spec car. First year plan is to get some baseline performance feel with autocross and a couple of track days in essentially stock form, then gradually make the conversion and at some point switch roles and make the S2000 the daily driver. That's probably a bit backwards, but I'm intrigued by the possibility of throwing a lightweight under-powered car around the track.
My in-laws have had an '06 Fit (AT) since they came to the US, so I'm familiar with the goodness that is Fit, and looking forward to getting to know the 2d generation and MT version!

Kind of the same here I have a 95 Miata summer toy to modified and drive. The Fit is my daily driver something fun to drive compared to my previous Corolla and can be modified.
