Noobiest Noob
Just joined a few minutes ago.
My name is Chris, and I just bought a 2008 Fit Sport with just over 110 k on it. It is the shinny grey one with the paddle shifters.
Before the Fit, I had a 2003 civic that my girlfriend wrote off in an accident, so I needed a good replacement, which turned out to be the Fit.
So far I am very happy with this car and excited to own it. Upon receiving the car, I promptly installed my sub/amp/box that I had in the civic. I bought a PAC line output converter thing which worked perfectly except for the amp trigger wire. I wired that to the 12V fuse in the panel. I learned how to remove the deck from a Youtube video called GTA car kits. The video failed to mention the wiring harness for the fan speed selector is very tight and should be removed. Needless to say, I promptly broke that clip and found a copper piece in my cup holder. After some crazy glue and duct tape, Humpty Dumpty was back together in no time. Wired up the amp, hid the wires, and reinstalled the factory stereo and she sounds better than the civic.
She has some scratches and a broken fog light, so those are the things I plan to do next, as well as some window tint and probably a 3M carbon hood sticker.
Though I have just joined, I have found some useful information from this site already, which is why I joined, and I look forward to meeting others with this common interest.
Thanks!
Chris
