Is this the 2014 Fit?
Found this on the S Concept you may have already seen since the Fit is a worldwide concept could this be the styling for the 2014 redesign? Future Cars - Top Speed

Maybe styling and headlights. But, concepts always look better in most cases then the actual production. For example the 2014 Mazda6 concept look great the latest pictures have it looking like a CX-5 sedan. Some of the articles on the 2014 Fit say it maybe more aerodynamic and slightly larger. Would be nice if it was a little more edgy.

I wonder if the 2013 Fit is going to be on sale until 2014? What I read is that production in Mexico does not begin until 2014. Is this correct? Or maybe they will still initially import the 2014 Fit from Japan since it seems Canada is going to still get Fit's from China for a couple of years.

Thetruthaboutcars.com just put up a blurb which basically sez Reuters hints that the 2014 Fit (built in Mexico) will debut in the spring of 2013 with a next gen clean/efficient motor (earth dreams, maybe hybrid or start-stop).

I expect the 2014 to go on sale next summer with little or no change to the 2013 now on sale. And the next gen on sale spring or summer of 2014 , and called a 2015.

Did not see it I was going by this Honda announces Fit production moving to Mexico
From Autoweek:
A redesign of the Fit comes in summer of 2014. Because Honda will have a dedicated plant in Mexico to handle Fit production for the United States, expect some local market design cues and features that won't appear in the Japanese or European models. But Honda might not wait until then to install the Earth Dreams 1.5-liter inline-four with 127 hp and 111 pounds-feet of torque, as well as a CVT.

My bad--I guess I was just hoping for spring 2013, along with a 6 spd manual and DI motor. And while I'm dreaming, can we get one of those clean diesels over here?
Maybe you will get the 6 speed since Autoweek is saying that the new engine and CVT may come sooner. I wonder how much difference 127hp and 111lb of torgue would make in the GE8 or if you would really notice it.

My dad likes to point out that DI engines require much higher fuel pressures, increasing the stress on the pump and fuel lines. While DI is widespread in adoption now, we might be glad in 5-10 years that we don't have it. I don't necessarily believe this point of view, but it's certainly a valid concern.

so i hope the 2014 (regardless of where it's made) comes with a 6MT for more performance oriented folks like us, and CVT for more economy oriented folks like some of you.

A matter of reference point and where the gearbox is...
