I quess it will come down to weight if Honda decides to change the engine on the 2013 or 2014 model year into the current GE8 versus what the specs on the redesign Fit will be. If it is larger the gains maybe offset by weight increase.

 

Ok so found this thread and looking for more current info on whether there IS a 2014 fit or not? Anyone know?

Production of the North American 2015 Honda Fit line will take place at Honda's new assembly plant currently under construction in Silao, Mexico. The facility, which opens next spring, also will turn out a new Fit-based crossover based on the Honda Urban SUV Concept that was shown in Detroit last January. For the record, there will be no 2014 model-year Fit. Honda plans to extend the run of 2013s imported from Japan until the all-new 2015 Fit hits the showrooms.

 

Interesting. Does that mean one could get a '13 that was manufactured in late '13 or even early '14?
