Big Enough for Me?

Big Enough for Me?
I find the versatility and gas mileage attractive, but before I bother to visit the Honda dealer I have to ask: will 6 ft. 4 in., 300 pound me even fit in a Fit? Anyone out there big like me?

I'm 6'7", 225lbs and I do fit in my Wife's Fit... barely. I can drive it somewhat comfortably, but the passenger seat isn't as comfortable for me. The back isn't bad if the front seats aren't all the way back.
I actually just finalized a deal on a Nissan Versa. You might want to check it out. It's considerably bigger on the inside and it's a little cheaper. (I'm sorry if this sounds like I'm trolling. :P)

6' 5" 270ish, size 13/14 shoes and I fit in just fine! (front and back seat.) I do notice that my right leg is sort of pushed against the front cupholder partition sometimes, especially if I don't adjust the steering wheel quite right. Also could use a bit more left foot support or more room for alternate resting positions.)
The seat has been fine for 2 hour plus driving segments but I have not done any really long trips yet.
While we are on ergonomics, I am still searching for a good "stock" armrest (I see College Hills is getting one from OZ soon but still TBA on price and availability.)

I have a feeling you won't be completely comfortable, particularly on longer trips. Just seeing how my husband (Jim2cpu) fits in it, it's not ideal for him, like he said.
Also, aside from length, the seats I find are rather narrow.
But go sit in one and see how you feel! That's what long test drives are for, too

I'm 6'4" 220lbs. I have long legs, and I find that the front seats lack thigh support. Most of the time I don't complain-- I've simply become used to it. If it does become too painful for me, I keep a hand towel in my car that I roll up and stuff underneath my thighs.
Do I regret buying my Fit because of this? Nope.

I'm also a pretty big guy, 6'4", 280lbs and I find it relatively comfortable. It's no Dodge Ram, but the Fit's features, specs and gas mileage outweigh the smaller interior. But like everyone has said, go try one out for yourself and you'll see hands on if it's comfortable enough for you

There is a "big" difference between 6' 5" and 6' 7" (I mean more than just the 2 inches ;-) A car that is designed to be OK to Acceptable for a 98th percentile person could be totally impossible for a 99th percentile. The world population is gradually getting bigger and heavier and car designers (along with furniture, clothing, and tool designers) are having to work really hard to keep up with this trend.
I know I will never be able to fit comfortably in a new Lotus Elise (but I still like them...)

digging this up from the archives, but i wish i would have found this before, although it may have skewed my views. Just a note before, height isnt the same i have a friend who is 6'7 that fits in nothing comfortably, while i can fit in a lot. Most of it depends on how long your legs are. I am 6'7 280lbs and fit well enough that i am never uncomfortable. I havent driven for much more then 2 hours yet, but havent complained in those 2 hours. I like smaller cars for some reason, hate the new altima because they got away from the smaller car type, so take my review with a grain of salt as i have always been in smaller cars. But, the fit is A LOT bigger inside then it looks, i have a ton of head room, and average leg room. My knees arent hitting anything

I'm 6'5" / 235lbs and find it OK, but like most others I havn't spent more then 2hrs in the car yet.
Also, my dealer told me they could move the drivers seat rails back 2" (no charge). I havn't taken them up on this yet, but I'm still thinking about it.

I'm 6'4", 300 pounds, and find it very comfortable - even for long distances. I did (thankfully) puchase a center armrest from the outfit that advertises on these boards (sorry, it's been a couple of months, and I can't remember their name!...but shipping was very fast, and I'm very pleased with it). Now, if I could just do something about the lousy gas mileage....
