Crap aftermarket from China???

I ordered (and I probably should have known better) aftermarket splash guards and scuff plates for my 2010 base. Both came from different eBay sellers in China, and neither one of them comes remotely close to fitting on my car. The splash guards fit on the front, but the rears don't appear to be made for any car resembling a 2010 Honda Fit. Ditto the scuff plates - they're not remotely the right shape to fit the vehicle. In both cases I specifically ordered items for the 2010 model year vehicle.

Never again. Caveat emptor.

They may have been made for the Jazz? The rear bumper is different so that would make sense. Either way, yes, buyer beware from China, my wife and I got a few things from China on Ebay for our wedding and ended up returning them hahaha

The OEM splash guards are relatively cheap anyway, I think I got mine for $35 on sale from H and A? They fit perfectly, might just want to go that route.

Sorry to hear about the dissapointment

So I've discovered. I don't get the idea though. You make something that doesn't come remotely close to fitting the vehicle for which it's made (with the vehicle logo), and you sell it. Then you have to take it back and give the money back. What have you gained? In both cases I've received refunds, so the sellers are out the money and the product. If you make a product that doesn't fit the vehicle for which it's advertised, then you're producing a product that has no use whatsoever.

Why sell baby milk powder that's full of melamine and causes kidney failure?
Why make an "iPaad" that is Android Gingerbread powered and doesn't do much besides light up and look like an iPad?
Why make cars that are based on 20-year old designs, only lightened by removing the expensive crash-absorbing steel bits, and stamped using worn-out Renault tooling?
Why collect discarded cooking oil from the garbage of mid-range restaurants, repackage it and sell it to low-end restaurants?

All newsworthy stuff coming from the people's republic over the last few years. I guess ill-fitting mud flaps are pretty far down on the "shocking!" list

That stinks - quality can be really hit/miss.

Japan-made parts tend to fit well

Yeah, but those people sold their products and made the money off them (at least for a while). The jokers making the crap I bought have refunded me the money and are stuck with merchandise that doesn't fit any Honda ever made. That's the part I don't get. I could make car covers that only fit my sofa, but put a Honda logo on them, and people might get upset when they don't fit their Hondas....
