2010 Fit Splash Guards 'fit' 2009 Fit?

I was looking up the parts for the 2010 Fit on PartsCheap.com and came across the Splash Guards. The page doesn't say anything about it being specifically for a base model so I'm wondering if this 'fits' for my 2009 ORM Fit. Is there a body change from the '09 to the '10?

I'll even call my dealer just to find out. I'll update if there's any info.

You have a sport. Splash guards don't fit the sport. I think a few people have talked about hacking them up a bit with a dremel or other tools so that they fit, but they don't fit out of the box.

I think the side skirts on prevent the front from fitting properly.

The back ones will fit fine. The front ones will not fit over the Sport side skirt.

Can't be painted. They aren't hard plastic. They're more a flexible-rubbery kind of thing. They won't hold paint.

I wanted mine painted and the guy at the body shop refused to do it. He said "We guarantee our work, our paint, and this won't hold the paint."

First time a big stone hits one of those, watch the paint fall off. So, no painting. Sigh. It would have looked good too.

If they're painted, they don't appear to be a very good match. They might just be molded in color.

Could be the lighting. TWB is quite the chameleon.

Here's the page for GE, says their black ones are "unpainted":
japanparts.com : PARTS DATABASE

I wonder if they have a hard plastic style. I had looked around at cars parked out front, and some splash guards are definitely a hard plastic. Others appear to be more rubbery plastic stuff. I had HARD plastic for my old VW Cabriolet, in the trim around the wheel wells. No flexible stuff like the Fit has.

I'd still like the body color flaps, but since I've already bought and had installed the black ones, I'm not going to get rid of them for something that will serve the same purpose, cost more too.

interesting, I have an 09 base and my only option on the car were floormats, yet I have the spashguards.... so were these suppose to be a factory standard or did I get freebee?

If your going to want to paint them, you are probably going to want to spend some time sanding off the gritty texture. and I'd recommend doing it yourself with some rustoluim plastic paint because as they said, they are going to take rock chips so you better have a quick easy solution of dealing with it on a yearly/quarterly basis.
