In the USA, there is only one engine and either an automatic or manual transmission which are also the same. Other countries have more options- including the cool CVT-7 transmission.
(Everyone break into song: Do you know the way to san jose?)
Also: Orange is only in a sport, light blue is only in a base - yea those are not the right color names

i guess the sport model is purely based on looks and from what i see added cruise control. do u guys see that an extra 2k is worth it if u are going to swap for jmd front and rear bumber, which is what i plan on doing,.?
For the MT's, the shift knobs differ between the base & sport models too-- see the thread titled "sport stick knob nicer than base knob?" that was last posted on 4/30/06 (currently on page 22 of Fit Talk pages).

i hate DBW. i don't get the point of it. it makes shifting slower. the RPM stays the same for like .2 seconds before dropping. this is ONLY good for drag racing, but even drag racing u can mimic this well. but then, if dbw really saves gas then i'll stop complaining.
I'm pretty sure the Sport also has a smaller steering wheel- in addition to the leather wrap.
Oh, and apparently all the North American Fits come with some sort of motivational phone service (see 800 instead of 888 error in owner's books)
Note: first part is true, second is humor based on printing error by Honda

^Huh, I didn't realize the sport wheel was smaller. It certainly IS small. I thought our Forester had a small wheel, but then I got the Fit! Our old Volvo has a school bus wheel by comparison
