I'm a brazilian NewFit owner. Sorry for my "poor english"...

Do anyone now anything about the next Fit generation promised by Honda-Japan CEO on september 2012?

In my opinion, the actual models are very poor on electronic and safety resources when compared to other similar veicules actualy sent in Brazil. We don't have ESP controls, multimedia systems, rear cameras, bluetooth, ECON option and the interior design is poor, since the actual Fits remains the same since... 2008!

I just was reading that today, I too am a new Fit owner and was doing research. I ran across this page on the Fit history:

As far as the U.S.A. goes, this is down at the bottom, quote:
The current generation Fit's last year is most likely 2014, with a new Honda Fit to be rolled out--and built in Mexico--for the 2015 model year. That all-new Fit will become a range of models, including not only the five-door hatchback but also a four-door sedan and a small crossover to compete with vehicles like the Nissan Juke and Mini Cooper Countryman. That latter model will be previewed by a concept to be shown at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show in January.

I haven't found everything on this site, there probably are more posts on what the 2015 model will be like. So far, I am impressed with mine, it's the second day of ownership

 

I wanted to get mine before production shifts to Mexico (for us in the U.S. market). It's not that Mexico can't produce a good car, it's just that I don't trust ANY new plant in its first couple of years. Takes some time to get the standards and practices up to snuff.

My prediction: A 2015 model which arrives mid-year 2014. Until then, the 2009 version continues production from Japan.
