This means that the fuel cap wasn't tightened good enough when you last got gas. If you tighten it now, it will take a couple days for the message to go away. No big deal. If after a couple days the message still doesn't go away contact the your dealer becuase you may have a bit of a fuel system pressure issue. A couple other people have had the same thing happen, usually it is just the cap not tightened enough and one other person had a bad seal so far that I'm aware of.

Just give it a couple extra clicks to make sure you tightened it good, and wait. Nothing bad will happen.

Thats pretty cool, I didnt know it would actually say that. Used to be youd get a CEL and had no idea if it was a gas cap not tight enough or the engine was going to blow lol

Had the same thing happen on my 2000 Accord V6 when it was new. On that car the Check Engine light illuminated. The dealer could have hooked up to the computer for $75 to confirm that the gas cap was the problem, instead he gave the gas cap a few extra clicks, and after several days the light extinguished.

That happened to me...it took i swear 5 days for that msg to go away...even after filling up. So tighten it up and wait...and hit the button to scroll past it.
