Question Age of Fit Owners Poll

I know, I know, there was a very long thread started back in May 2010 asking about Fit owners ages, but unless you read through the almost 900 posts it's pretty hard to get a grasp on it.

So, I thought, how about a poll so we can all get some perspective on the subject?

Please feel free to comment in any way.. how old are you, how long have you owned your Fit, how many have you owned, when did you first start driving and what was the car, etc., etc..... be creative in your comments, let the poll begin!

I'm 83 and started driving around 1945. Learned to drive in a 1938 Chevy.

Farout! What do you think of your Fit and what other cars have you had. Let's get some conversation going here to go with the subject.

Cat voting in! I am 56 soon to be 57 in May. Got my Fit in 2007 and it is my first Honda. Drove Ford and Chevy mini trucks or Chevy Cavaliers the rest of the time. My uncle, cousin and my boss all are Honda guys so they talked me into getting a Honda for my next car when I was ready to trade my 1996 Ford Ranger XLT. I got on the internet and while looking at the Honda site found the Fit - fell in love with the car. Got on Fit Freaks back in Feb 2007 and never looked back. Three months of waiting for a VBP to come in which did not happen, the Milano Red became available and I decided to go with it instead of waiting another month. Modifications are just like Lays Potato Chips - could not stop. Now I drive a car that doesn't look like anyone elses and I love that. Hoping to keep my Fit for many more years as it is the only car I have ever truly connected with. 27 Trophies later, Sippy is being retired from showing but will still get detailed and kept as nice as I can.

Thanks! I just got an e-mail from a local car forum I belong to called FCP and the Fit was nominated for Ride of the Month. The Fit got 55 % of the votes and the Scion TC running against us got 45%. Was really surprised as I did not even know anyone had nomiated us.

21-35 age bracket, upper end . I've had my Fit Sport M/T since 2007 and I am about to trade it in after 135000 miles of fun for a 6-speed TL SH-AWD . I've learned how to drive stick when I was 8 years old on a 4 speed tractor and a Fiat 126 ...it was good times with my grandfather.

I'm 19, I've been driving since I was 15 1/2. I got my M/T PMM fit in July of 2012. Since I bought it, I have installed Buddy Club Coilovers, hks hi-power exhaust, mugen rep visors, Jdm red H badge, jdm wiper mod, led license plate and interior led light, GE Nighthawk bulbs, Yellow Fog light vinyl, buddy club short shifter, Skunk 2 type r knob, DIY SRI, just need to install lip, and get wheels and I should be somewhat complete. When I purchased this car, I was still stalling on M/T cars... since I basically never drove stick shift before I got my fit. I drove my friends M/T fit and I fell in love and got one.

I bought mine at age 20 with .9% interest and no cosigner :P

It was my second new car and I have been much happier with this car. Absolutely love it after almost 60k miles. I have technically sold 5 of them now through talking to friends and people on the internet. I have 120 dollars in gift certs from the local dealer hehehe

Maybe to some degree, but it was mostly careful planning and haggling. Took me about two months to secure the purchase and I was nailing it all down to the wire around this time of year.

I got a 2010 the beginning of 2011 around tax time, knew my credit score, and then used edmunds to send out quote requests to all dealerships within 50 miles. Some wouldnt deal online, some wouldnt go below 17900 and some were down around 16 and some change. I took the 16~k ones and pitted them all against each other until they finally said "Alright, no more take it or leave it". Then I went with them and told them I was going to buy my car there. Took a little mor e haggling on the trade in. I was at the point where I said I want this much or Im walking out.

They got my trade in where I wanted and I tried to haggle in some floor mats too, but they were getting pretty impatient. Overall a challenging experience. Ive also sent them plenty of business.

Go figure it was in Marysville though.

Hi Everyone... Had my 2004 Fit for one day

All I've done so far is driven to work and back... it's a Japanese domestic model imported into NZ, so I've spent most of my in-car time trying to figure out how to set the clock on the NAV/CD/DVD unit!!!

Wow! Will be interesting when i'm your age and I can tell stories to kids about when you actually had to control cars yourself

31 on Jan 31st here. The age spread on the poll is about exactly what I expected.
