Wax it like a surfboard and park on the wheel stops.

Okay if this is the new Fit I'm liking the front end quite a bit, but that back end is just ugly. The front end looks sportier and more aggressive than the current version. However, that back end starting with that last little litttle window is akward .The window doesn't scoop up and fill the side well enough in the back by the roof. That with those diamond shaped rear end lights are so unattractive to my eye. I think the back doesnt match the front. The back looks so utilitarian and boring in style.

Car and Driver claims it will be release in Japan and the USA later this year. So I take it that the initial new generation Fits will be built in Japan. If that is the case I might consider buying one depending on any improvements over the 2nd generation.

LOVE THE FRONT!
HATE THE BACK!!!! the shape of those tailights!
bring back the shape from the 1st gens....
or better yet, bring the europe civic hatchback to the states for those of us that want a slightly larger hatchback!
might buy an Elantra GT because of this

Anyone else notice how Car and Driver's 2014 render of the Fit is just a photoshop of the Civic Europe's photo? Look closely at the cloud shapes and the rock formation off in the distance, as well as the sailboat by the rear of the car. So, hopefully this is just speculation based off the Civic Europe's design.

No kidding... what an ugly piece of crap that is! If this is the Fit's future, then I know for sure I will be switching to a Chevy Sonic... not even a question or hesitation.
First of all, it looks like every other "blend in with the scenery" mom and pop crossover/mini-crossover that's on the road now. How much more boring can Honda get? The front fender looks as if Honda directly copied (stole) the Nissan Juke and Rogue designs.
Civic design officially sucks since last year, along with every other newer sedan Honda makes... like I said, BORING! Honda, what are you thinking?
Secondly, if that is the new Fit, then it's lost any semblance of "sporty" the Fit may have had. And what's with those ugly triangular tails, Honda? They look like flippin' small kites stuck on the back of the rear end. Gimme' some string and a windy day... maybe the rear end will lift off of the ground!
Honda needs to hire some younger designers, they need to stop looking at what everyone else is producing and trying to copy the market, and they need to produce at least one or two "sporty" rides that actually look like they may have some kind of edge (tuner or otherwise) to them... or at least the potential for a some type of sport-based edge. I cannot see any potential whatsoever for modding that violation of a Fit Sport design.
In my opinion, you would have to be a serious "Honda at any cost, regardless of how ugly" (a blind Honda supporter) to even consider purchasing that "on the road to soccer momdom" design... like much of everything else crossover-ish today.
To each their own... but count me out immediately. VERY disappointed, Honda.
Honda... really... are you serious?
