Need torque info

Hello, I've posted in the sale section that I WTB a Helms manual for the 2007 Fit Sport but haven't gotten a response. I'd order one right from Helm but their website has been showing out of stock status forever.

I'd like to look up simple stuff like the torque value for the oil drain plug. Is there any way I can find an electronic version on the web to get by? I've searched like hell but haven't been able to find one, even on a torrent site.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks buddy, but that is the cd version which I think is a bit of a rip off. I'd rather spend double and get the paperback version.

Thanks! However all those "manual" are actually PDF files filled with download links for different models of Hondas and acuras. I don't get how to use it.

Go for the CD version. You can print the pages you need easily for the specific job. Get em grimy and then toss them.

Man, I found that using my digital torque adapter I had to force the heck out of my wrench to get to the 29 foot lbs recommended in some generic fit/jazz manual I found online! Perhaps it's cos the wrench was slightly crooked on the bolt since the adapter made my ratchet too long to fit straight over the bolt because of some frame metal around it. Still it was tighter than I put it on last time!

I see that the oil filter is only 8 or 9 foot lbs. I hand tighten that anyway and it was still nice and tight from even a winter of driving with snow rubbing all over it.

Get a fumoto valve and never have to worry about that drain bolt torque again.

I did look long and hard at the fumoto. But the only way I'd get one is if I could get the nipple kind. Unfortunately, I live in Montreal Canada where we maintain our roads about as well as the friggin' North Pole, so I end up crashing through unplowed snow banks and driving over chunks of ice and hard packed snow! Some people assure me that it is absolutely impossible for damage to occur but I'd rather not risk it for the 5 seconds I get to save twice a year on my oil change

It does say in the service manual I read in bold letters "do not over tighten" for the oil drain plug. Still, the spec torque seemed tighter than I usually tightened it.
