Should I buy a 2010 Fit HB Sport for $11200?

It only has 26,000 miles.

Low miles, or not, the car is still four years old, and age does affect resell value. According to Kelly bluebook. The price is fair, but it's not exactly a steal.

Of course, I would also be giving up a warranty.

New this car would cost about $18K. So, I would be paying about 30% less. And I would be getting a nearly new Fit.

The Fit is automatic, and has tilt wheel, a/c, keyless entry, power windows and cruise control.

Any thoughts?

That sounds like a pretty decent deal to me, especially if it's been taken care of and the interior and exterior looks good. Honda's are stellar at having a high resale value. I was able to get $4,800 in a private sale of my 2002 Honda Civic with 217,000mi that I had before the Fit.

yah, ask if the dealer can do it for $10,500, but that price you got isn't too bad.

the other things are to check carfax, any signs of accidents, repairs, etc.

Thanks for the replies.

For now, I have decided against the car. I have been reading about too many issues with the paint on Hondas.

It's a shame, I was really pysched to buy this car. There is a lot I like about it. But, the paint issue is a big concern to me.

You might look into the Yaris then. For sure less fun to drive but probably has good reliability and Toyota paint is pretty damn good. My parents Matrix (2009) looks brand new and my father uses a hard plastic shovel to scrape snow off the hood

Also when I had a slight scrape with a Matrix, my bumper paint was f?%4d (750$ repair) and all the Matrix had to do was clean MY paint off of her rear bumper cover...
