Best Price Fit Sport Vancouver
Best Price Fit Sport Vancouver
I'm looking to purchase a 2010 Honda Fit Sport Auto Transmission that's sitting on a dealer's lot in Vancouver. What is the best price I can expect to pay?
I bought my 2010 Sports A/T in Aug 2010 for $21, 535 but the dealership gave me a good trade in price for my 10 year old car after having gone around 3 dealerships. I am not sure of the current new FIT price now in Vancouver, but you may be able to get at least $1,000 to $2,000 discount for 2010 stock.
There was an advertisement of $500 discount during boxing day last year. The reason all the 3 dealerships I went in last year would not discount their FIT price for me because of the high yen exchange cost of Japanese direct imports. At first, I thought the first dealership was BS me but three dealerships told me the same story. In your case, if the dealership has 2010 FIT still sitting in their lot, they will be eager to sell and you will have the upper hand.
I suggest you may like to consider dropping by at least 3 or more Honda dealerships near your area and the key is, do not pay any deposit during negotiation or if they insist a deposit saying that they need to prove you will negotiate in good faith, you can decide to walk away then or if you like to pay the deposit, asked for signed documentation stating clearly all deposit paid is fully refundable with no conditions attached. That way, if you find a better deal somewhere, you are not locked in
Do not make any deals during the first visit. Say that you need time to think about it and you are a serious buyer. Don't call them, and in about a week's time, they will most probably call you and ask what can they do to win your business.. then this gives you an upper hand
Hope this helps Leanne

I was shopping for a 2011 fit sport in A/T and dealers were quoting me with up to 23.5K. I felt that was a bit much.
Found a used 2010 Sport A/T with only 4600KM on it, and managed to get it for 16.7K. I think I got a really good deal!
