I have only driven 300 miles but my a/c smells like something is burning. Is this normal? When does the smell stop?

There was a thread discussing this issue already.

Any new car will emit various odors during it's break in period. One of the most often complained about odors is the smell of burning plastic or rubber. It'll go away in a while! Until then... don't use the Air Conditioners recirculate option.

 

UpDate: I had the windows tinted yesterday...Big improvement in a/c ability to cool the car. The smell also seems to be gone or greatly reduced.
