Another one bites the dust.
Glad to hear everything is okay. A few questions here from a legal standpoint, were any charges laid against the other driver? Any thoughts on suing for damages as your daughter is off work for 4-6 weeks. Not sure how it works in the US, but I would be suing.
Also, that car is yours. I personally feel that you should be allowed to take anything from it after the accident.

I cleaned everything we wanted out of the car before it went to the auction yard. It is still sitting at the yard and has not been scheduled to be auctioned off yet. It is interesting that there are 5 Honda Fits sitting there to be auctioned off. Three belong to USAA. One Progressive and I forgot who owned the last one. One only has 2600 miles. The repair estimate was $16,000+. USAA paid us off for the total loss. I found another one 2 years newer with 13,000 less miles. It cost us $41.00 difference for the replacement.
As far as liability goes, Michigan is a no-fault state. USAA is paying her 85% of her wages (tax free) for her time off work and all of her medical bills. So she is not getting rich off of this but she will break even when it is all over.
It has been almost 2 months now and she is doing fine. She started driving again last week but still has to go through some rehab before going back to work. I estimate that she will be off 2.5 months due to this accident. She has several big incision scars on her arms and around her collar bone plus a couple of implanted plates. She is young and will be just fine in the end. I do not know if she can go through airport metal detectors or not.
Here is the vehicle still sitting in the auction yard:

Keep in mind it was rolled over when the emergency people arrived.
