So, as some of you know I've been searching for homes left and right. I had a house already but I cancelled escrow because it appraised $20K lower than selling price and they wouldnt match.
I finally found this one and its been rough. I put in the offer and someone else did to. They won the contract, fell through and bank called me and I said yes! and right before contract was signed someone else put in a higher offer and got it. They fell through and it was offered to me again but this time I'm putting a bigger down payment and offered more. I got it!
I got the contract started and escrow is starting already :] So as long as escrow goes ok I will be coming home from middle east to my first home and will get on furnishing it and doing some granite upgrades.

lol, yes peter...all the way out there. For me its not a problem cause our companies flight facilities are based in the desert so its only a short commute to work for me. I always come down to cerritos/lakewood on weekends though cause my parents have a house there.

yeah I do still have the Fit. I did post it for sale but since I'm getting this house I'm most likely keeping the Fit. I can easily afford the house and M3 I want but I think it would be a smarter move to build my savings back up cause I'm gonna spend about $55K in downpayment and furnishing.

what are your plans for the kitchen? if you want some granite/marble for the counter tops i have some that i'm trying to get rid of. i can sell you it for a cheap price. you'd just have to find someone to do the labor for install.
