Hey FitFreaks!
As you can see by my name, my (soon-to-be...) wife has a 2007 Fit. I have been lurking for a while getting some general maintenance tips here and there and decided to join to glean more info and eventually be able to offer advice to others. I have seen a couple of general car questions on the forums here that I could have answered...
Her Fit is a solid car. I have always been more of a Toyota guy... (owned 3 4th gen Tercels, one of them heavily modded) but I have respect for Hondas, too. There's a reason the aftermarket is so strong for the Honda crowd. I personally really hate driving it, but I think it's more because I'm 6' 2" and don't really fit in the car well. It definitely has some pep for what it is, and I'm sure with an I/H/E setup it could be a fun car. Hers is a Sport with the paddle shifters, so that helps a little bit when I drive it. I wish it was a stick...
I drive a 2012 VW GTI 6 speed with the APR carbonio intake and Stage 1 tune. Working on picking out a turbo-back exhaust and going to stage 2 by next summer. I have to get winter tires for it first though... this will be my first winter in a while without my Jeep Wrangler.
Anyway, I might not post much, but if I see a question I can answer, I'll jump in. Right now I have to dig in to some posts and solve the fiance's cylinder 3 misfire. Already changed plugs and boots, but I think I need to go back in and add the dielectric grease (I'm always 50/50 on using it, but some members here are for it, so I'll give it a shot). If that doesn't work, the coil packs will get some R&R time.
See ya 'round!
