2010 base Phone to USB port?

Just purchased this car.
Is there a way to connect my phone to the USB port? Will it then work as a speaker phone?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thanks.

Negative. Bluetooth will work if you have it though.

Where in Mass are you? I'm in Westfield. And let me clarify my answers to you. You CAN connect your phone to the USB connector but it WILL NOT come through your speakers. It will merely charge your phone. I looked up your car and it appears Bluetooth was not available so your stuck with holding the phone to your ear like me.

Yessir. About 7 miles west. Exit 3 off the Pike. So post a pic of your baby already! (Rules of the forum) LOL

Actually, whether you can have sound from your phone come through the stereo speakers depends on a couple of things. I have had an iPhone 4, and an iPhone 5s, as well as (prior to the iPhone 4) a Samsung Galaxy S (android). The droid would charge, but that's it. I could not play music from the phone through the car stereo. The iPhones, the car picks up as an iPod, and the stereo controls will control the music on the phone.

That also means that when my phone rings, even though I have to have a bluetooth speakerphone in the car, sound from the phone call I'm pretty sure is coming through the car stereo. My voice is picked up by the speakerphone, and transmitted via bluetooth to the phone.

I know this works on my 2010 Sport. I think it works for all years, but I can't say for sure.

Thanks for the info. I have an android so it looks like bluetooth is the way to go.

Back in 2010 or 2011 somebody had gotten their droid to play through the stereo. I think they set their phone to "USB Mass Storage". I'll see if I can find the old thread for you.
