I just went to Glendale Honda Dealership, CA to check out the New HR-V
a salesman went to us...

some chit-chat then he said this dealership
offers "lifetime warranty" for the HR-V, it will come written in the contract and will be honored in all Honda dealerships.....

anybody can chime in on this? --- WHATS the CATCH ????

I said " lifetime" He said YES. written in the sales contract.

 

This may help. Not sure how free it is, in any case you must follow Honda's recommended maintenance. You will probably have to prove the maintenance was done unless it was all done by a Honda dealer.

The catch is, it's non transferable.

They're expecting most people to get rid of the car within like 5 years...

The dealership I just got my 2015 from offers a lifetime powertrain warranty as well.

 

A Chrysler !!?!! Dealer near me is offering lifetime warranty also.

 

Did you get anything in writing? The dealership I went to for my Fit, advertises as "the home of the lifetime powertrain warrenty". They certainly create the impression that all their cars come with that, but I do not recall seeing anything in writing and have no clue what it covers or how it works.

 

My dealer gave me lifetime oil changes and gave me a special card for it. They will probably hope to convince me to trade it in after 3 or 4 changes.

In regards to the warranty thing, I'm sure the idea is to get you to use them for maintenance since they usually make more money doing that.
