Mismatched tire sizes?

Mismatched tire sizes?
Hi all,
Can I put the following sets of tires on my car without any issues?
2x 205/50R16
2x 185/65R15
I'm looking to pick up some used winter tires for my fit and was able to find a couple offers on craigslist:
3x 205/50R16 Hankook Winter i*cept evos and a mismatched tire with a 55 aspect ratio that owner is willing to sell me for $80 altogether.
And 2x 185/65/15 tires, missing some studs but free.
Is this a good setup? Which tires should go up front?

u have 16" and 15" wheels?
if they are in pairs they can work, but i will warn u that especially in the wet/snow/ice running different tread patterns can upset ur car into an uncontrollable spin.
u will want to put the better gripping tires on the rear.

Thank you for the safety warning, I'm currently running stock175/65R15 dunlops. Would it be safer for me to run two snow/two all seasons of the same size, or mismatched pairs of snow tires? I might just shell out $100 to complete the set of three hankooks and have a slightly newer tire if that would be the safest option of all.

If you don't have 16" wheels, the Hankook tires will not fit. You cannot put a 16" tire on a 15" wheel.
I wouldn't be too afraid of going with mismatched tires front and back. Yes, it's not ideal, but it's not the end of the world either. Mismatched on opposite sides of the same axle is better to be avoided if at all possible.
If you've ever driven with the compact spare on, you have experienced a much greater mismatch....

Your front tires do 90% of the work ,, the rears just follow them around, make sure the front stops and goes...
Studs on all or no studs, having studs on only 1 end will kill you..
Run the same class of tire both ends, IE All season or Studless or High performance keep the size all 4 the same in general it can change under and oversteer behavior of the car either for or against you
It also depends on the use, 5 mile commute in southern cal,, probably not a big deal, daily trips on icy roads over the mountains.. A lot bigger deal..
