Emergency brake

I use it all the time!
When you don't use it, the cables will start to corrode, and one day your e-brake won't work anymore. Then you'll have to replace the cables...
So use it! It is safer that way, and you'll save money in the end!

6MT here, hand brake is on every time the car is parked.
Except just after I washed the car and brakes are still wet.
Also when I am at a red light on an incline.
Sometimes when taking tight turns to help the car rotate a bit more. But that is just for fun. And to scare my passengers lol.
A proper hand brake is a dying breed, just like three pedals.
So old school.
Love it.

I use the handbrake EVERY time I park the car with the exception of the garage.
My father NEVER used his handbrake, instead, relying on the "parking stud" in the automatic transmission to hold the car. Needless to say, every year he'd take the car for NYS inspection, they'd test the handbrake, find it frozen, and charge dad to fix it.
I always use the handbrake, and have never had a handbrake seize on me.
