1st, 2nd, 3rd generation
Right now l'm working at a pizza place delivering until l can get a job back into the field l was laid off from 2 years ago. 2 co workers have a Fit also. One is a 2008. She doesn't deliver. She works inside. And a driver has a 2011. And of course mine is a 3rd gen. l prefer the blue on the '08. Mine is more of a blurple. l don't like the headlights on the '11. They look like bug eyes. Overall, l prefer the 3rd gen Fit.

Ok. That's nice. Do you have a question? Is there a point to this post? Just ruminating? Ok.
I like the Aegean Blue of your fit. It's a very nice blue metallic. It was my 2nd choice after white.

It's nice when people have the one they want.
The ONLY Fit for this house is a first gen. If the one we have went away, we would either try to find the absolute most perfect first gen or leave Fit life. Would be sad My friend has an '09 Sport and my Mom has an '11 Sport. We've test driven and looked at GK's a couple of times.
Nothing wrong with any of them...well, except the seat in the GE's. Otherwise, all are good. Just prefer the handling abilities of the GD and quirkiness of it's semi-old school looks.

The GD is the goofiest looking & therefore my favorite.
The GE is a better car but less fun.
I don't like the GK, but I'd probably drive one if the Civic Si weren't so much better for just a few thousand dollars more.

Had a '07 GD (auto, base & zero mods) which served me well till '14 when the GK arrived. Got it to clock 130k on the odo and has been with my niece since then.
Having owned both since NEW, I feel that the GD's are more solidly constructed. Mine never failed me and continues to putter along for my niece back on the island.
Took 100 lbs. of sound deadening mat to quiet down the GK's tinny sounding doors and interior, however, am appreciating the improved combined gas mileage (28 vs. 36 mpg). Glad I'm shifting again in this faster 3rd Gen.
To date, other than recalls, our 2015 LX 6-speed remains a reliable joy to drive for everyone in this household. Amazingly, this includes the wife (yes, she knows the manny tranny) who prefers it over her truck, in certain parts of the city as its a cinch to park.
Do plan to keep this until it dies. Looking like the new Fit will have a smaller displacement turbo'd engine. Not for me!!!
That said, whatever Gen it is, it'll be the RIGHT one!!!

That's pretty much my chief grievance with my 2010 Fit... I like the headlight on the GK.
But, not having driven either the GD or GK, I can't really say much about preference, other than it basically defaults to GE.
Oh, I did see a Top Gear review (or was it "preview") on the GD Fit/Jazz a LONG time ago. And my impression was... I didn't like the whole front end of the GD that much and since it wasn't available in the US, I forgot about it until I saw a GE Fit in the showroom when I was initially going to buy a 2nd Gen Insight.

People, tend to back what they own.
I have owned a 2010 Fit. I now own a 2016. Both were/are good vehicles. The 2016 is more refined, homogenized, and I love the sunroof.
But for it's time? The 2010 was great. It was more unique, from the layout of the interior, loved the sloping dash, and endless cupholders. And it's road behavior, tighter, more fun, IMO.
The 2016 has more technology.
I'm NOT unhappy with my 2016, but I have to say, Honda got a LOT right with the 2010 generation. I think that generation is a great incarnation of the vehicle.

True. Which explains why Chevy Cavalier enthusiasts exist at all. Certainly not because it's a vehicle worthy of enthusiasm.
I like the 'cheap and cheerful' practical nature of the Fit. It also drives surprisingly well for what it is. But I have no delusions of it being anything but an appliance. But it's a good appliance.
It's why I also have a soft spot for my first car, an '87 Civic. It was slooooow, had no AC, no power steering, windows or anything else. 5 spd. It was an only semi-appealing shade of maroon. But it was my first car and it was dead reliable. Except for the classic Honda problems of the starter and the blower motor and resistor dying.
Maybe I like the Fit because it reminds me of my old Civic. It's also the first Honda since then with nothing but Subarus in between. And the occasional Miata.
