780Tuners Edmonton Car Forums - Cool Cars Cruising 4 Cancer 2

Hello everbody!

I was wondering if we could get any interest in the above linked event. It is a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society in which we hold a charity car show. (Link to last year's website: Cool Cars Cruising For Cancer )

Last year over 500 vehicles showed up for the event, and $45 000 dollars was raised!! Around 50-60 cars showed up for the actual cruise form Edmonton to Calgary. I had missed this opportunity last year but I'm hoping we could set something up for this year. It's a pretty cool event with a wide variety of automobiles and it benefits charity too!

Please leave your FF u/n and first name if you are interested, and I will try to keep everyone informed of whats happening via this thread.

You probably don't have to commit to the event till July, but I started this thread with gauging interest in mind.

Edmonton RX-7 Car Club

Event venue:
Edmonton (Meeting place to cruise to Calgary): TBA
Calgary (Meeting place for the show): Macmahon Stadium

Cruises:
Edmonton-Calgary
Calgary-Cochrane

Hopefully if I get enough interest, I will enter FitFreak.net as a club. I am also pondering whether or not I should get some FitFreak.net decals for our cars made (with permission of FitFreak.net of course.... anybody know who I can talk to to gain permission ?)

Gahh! Sorry for the double post!

I was thinking of having organizers for each of the FitFreak communities in Edmonton and Calgary.

I could probably head the Edmonton FF group.

I'd be up for it again this year. I attended last years with Sugarphreak. Weather wasn't great though

Nope, we sailed through pretty much every major intersection on the way out with our 4-ways on. But on the way back it kind of thins out and you have to drive normally
