If we're talking about the knob I don't have one right now so anything is better lol, if it's the shifter itself it should be the same between sir and dx right Jon?

Ya, I have no idea where the outside corners are... I had them all sitting in a shelf in their garage, but only the 2 inner ones were left in there when I checked... perhaps they were moved... I'll have a look in their basement where all my boxes of junk are sometime. but chances are they are gone, they should've been with the others

I do have a knob I can give you.. I have a momo one, its part leather, and part aluminium. I'm hanging onto my oem knob just incase I ever need it.

they are different. i'm guessing the height or pitch of the arm is different.
but still should work none the less.

Then Adam we should probably grab that shift lever the next time you go

For the know, is the momo a screw on piece or it comes with little sleeves and hex bolts?

I would rather have a screw on as I will most likely destroy the other one while racing.

Unfortunately the momo knob is the one with the hex bolts.

I have the shift lever in my tool box at my house. so I have everything that u need at my place now... well.. the lever and the inner lights. I'll check again the next time I go to my parents to see what else I've got

Nice! Should be a fun little project

My Fit is Go for this Friday... not sure if any of you have the morning off, but I am gonna be at RCTS from 9am-1pm-ish getting the car dyno tuned and hopefully boosting around 9psi.

If I had time off I would for sure come down to check it out, but in any case good luck with the dyno!

Speaking of projects I am thinking about taking on something more ambitious. I was going to go for the 135i, but beating on a brand new car that also adds weight to my mortgage is giving me cold feet.

Now I am thinking about getting maybe a mid to late 80's BMW E30 (like a 325i with that torquey inline 6cyl) if I can find one in good shape for under 5K. I have always been a big fan of that pug-nose style and they are reasonably lightweight (2600lbs) compared to a lot of other cars I have been looking at.

Now that sounds like a great plan E30's are awesome little cars!

Pretty good chance I will flex that day so I would probably be down for this! I'll let you know tomorrow if I am taking the day off for sure.

sweet! sounds good! should be a good show for sure...

do you think i should load the 8.5psi map I got from Ben and turn up the boost before I get to RCTS? or should I let them baseline my car at 6, and then tune it to 9psi?

I don't know what is better to do..

Damn it! Just got a call from RCTS and the owner Reg Reimer isn't going to be available to tune my car this Friday since he'll be at the SEMA show... I'm so PO'd...

The next available date is the 13th. So I'm penciled in for that day now, even tho it totally sucks ballz.

I asked if anyone else could do it, but he said if I wanted the best possible tune for my car, I should wait for Reg to get back...

I just hope I can keep my wheels on til then... maybe I will up the boost and load the 8.5psi map in the mean time...

Help me pray for no snow on the streets for another week and a half!!!!!!! I don't wanna dyno tune with my stock rims and winter tires.

I would wait to get tuned before changing maps and playing with more boost.

Your car is leaner than it should be as it is and without a wideband, who knows what Ben's tune looks like for 8.5psi.

The difference is your safety margin gets smaller as boost goes up. 13th won't work for me

Ya, I'll wait.. I can be patient I'm just choked... I was so excited to go this Friday.

I know Ben's 8.5psi map had 11.5AFR written in the file name.. is that bad? I can't remember..

It does suck that its a Thursday tho.. I just took the 13th and 14th off tho. I have a ton of banked vacation time to take..

But the good thing is that Reg Reimer is doing the tuning himself.. I initially thought it wouldn't be him and some one that just works there...
