Ready for the snow this weekend?

I bought a bunch of LED X-mas lights, over 60 feet. I guess I better string them up before the snow starts to fly... hmmmm not really looking forward to trying my rickety old second hand 30' ladder

On a positive note the spray foam guys come tomorrow! My Fit will be toasty warm once that insulation is in, all snuggled up beside the Hummer

First thing next year my lawn is going down!

I am going to bring in the bobcat to flatten it out and lay down some fresh sod.

I will have to start sneaking up on people with Fits at the car wash and asking them to check out the site

I think the problem is the Fit seems like a bit of a transition car, a lot of people buy it only to move on a year or two later for something with more power...

...myself inlcuded, if the BMW M1 comes out at a reasonable price I might make the switch.... although with the outrageous pricing of the 135i it is going to be the same price as the M3.

hehe, if I wasn't planning a massive life change in the next little bit I would cruise over to Audi and pick up an R8

I wish I could be Canadian, so I could move up to Calgary. I'd be glad to join the chapter up there. Calgary is my favorite city. I've been 5 times, maybe this summer I can convince my gf to take a road trip up there. Could I be a honorary member? lol

Computer chunking and doesn't seem to want to let me to edit...

What about a Fit cruise/bbq/potluck/meet/show and shine or a group spring maintenance get together? Other group buys-I've also been eyeing up a passenger visor w/ mirror and the interior lights that even car enthusiasts migh be interested in? I know I missed the last meet. Maybe it should be in conjunction with a Beyond meet? What else could we do? I would be willing to put a sutble and stylish Fitfreak sticker on my car though I haven't necessarily been too involved with this community yet. We're all busy and from what I can tell its been hard to get people making time in the past. Maybe something lower key and more frequent on a workday evening? IDK.

Assuming its a transition car and new drivers that may not be too mechanically inclined, we could set up some sort of group summer car prep. ie for a fee/group buy? (not sure of liability here...sigh the society we live in) they could help/see how the maintenance is done by going over their car with someone. (I know not everyone wants to crawl under their car but they can watch)
engine oil change
inspect f/r rear brakes (ie this is what it would look like when it needs replacing level)
etc along the lines of Maintenance Schedule for Severe Conditions - European Model (Except CVT-KG/KE/KR/KK/KT)

I personally find the owner's manual really lacking in detail - they have it set up so you to just take it into a honda dealer (or ?) by not fully explaining for the DIY people.

We do have some good Honda dealers here like Honda West, and I know for those of us with the GD3 we need to go see them anyway for that letter that came in the mail.

If it was a group buy at a Honda dealer, then I might not even sign up though since I want to learn how to do this myself (not in dealer's interest) It's just an idea. There are a bunch of things I don't think I can do such as an alignment before the season starts. i'm also going out to BC in the middle of May ('rents have more tools...).
