Autocross Pics & Results!

So Autocross was a blast; check out some pics I took. I couldn't shoot myself so I will have to wait until somebody else puts up some of me

Anyway, I am currently in 3rd place for the rookie championship which is cool There is an S2000 CR with R-comps in the lead & a Cooper S in second.

Hey ET, how do I adjust the camber on my wheels for a better bite?

Thanks!
That's a tough one on a fit it would probably have to be a camber plate at the top of the suspension tower in the front and in the rear I'm guessing some washers between the drums and suspension assembly.

You'd probably need a kit but you probably already have some negative camber because of your drop in the front.

I keep seeing camber bolts or something along those lines being used, not really sure how that works. I would like to get about 2.5 degrees of camber, right now I am less than that for sure.

negative 2.5 is great for r compound rubber but fairly aggressive for daily street driving. It will make the car follow every little rut in the road and will affect it's high speed straight line stability on street tires not meant to handle that camber.

I wasn't thinking a permanent adjustment, something more just for events.

you'd need to align the car everytime on a rack unless you bought your own alignement tools.

Hardcore racers do that but I don't think the Fit has achieved that status yet:P

Next event I will get some better pics

How does the kit work Jon? Can I set it just for the event or do I have to get it aligned everytime like ET was saying?

Speaking of which are you coming? They put up the pre-registration already, one on the 22nd & one on the 23rd.

These have to be put onto an alignment rack to adjust 9the front is a oblonged (spelling?) bolt and the rear is a plate style system (see attached)

I work the 22nd but I'll see what i can do for the 23rd. if not participate for sure attend to spectate!

Interesting, so if I am reading this right I can adjust the front camber whenever I want easily? What about the rear?

I only have those two days left this year for autocross, I don't want to run that much camber on a day to day basis.

the rears would require pulling off the spindle so that's a little hard to adjust on the fly.
the fronts are a lot easier but I'm not sure how you would calculate the degree's without having it on an alignment rack.

Is it easy enough that we could we set it up this week and then take them off (or adjust the front ones) after the weekend?

Also, one more cool ass pic from that weekend

OK, that is a pretty good pic, zoomed in so that I'm not looking at cones as a fore ground...

And you could potentially set up the car for the weekend and then reset it to factory after the race just takes a bit of time to do it.

That would work, do you have time on Thursday evening?

I've done the rear camber kits on Will's black Fit and it's a fair bit of work and we needed to bleed the brakes evertime we took those off as we didn't have enough room to remove everything without the brake line out of the way.

The little allan bolt that holds it all on once the drum is off is also a bitch to remove without stripping and having to drill it out

Hmmmm, I might hold off then. This sounds like too much to get into with only 1 weekend left.

I am leaning towards a full suspension system for next year; any suggestions?
