kilometers on your fit?
Bottom line, the lower the rpm, the better the gas mileage
Chris
If you wanna help, provide CLEAR details about your model, MT or AT Sport, city or highway, that's the only way people will understand you correctly!

Chris
but thanks for your input

I bought my car in February 2007, Storm Silver, 5MT with 6000km on it. I get 467km/tank. I always drive at the highest gear possible. The area I live in is still a developing area so it's like driving on highway.

Yeah, I guess depends on where you live too. Like if you live in Ottawa, where basically flat everywhere, you don't have to do too much up/down hill.
But for me, I drove up/down hill everyday, up the #1 cut in North Van, no wonder my fuel economy sucks. I will try more "simulated" MT.

Have 2300 km on my BOM MT, bought 02/13/07.
Get about 350 km/tank, 98% city driving so far- New West to East Van and back.
Am taking it on a road trip to Kamloops later this week, so will be interesting to see how she does mileage-wise

So far 38K Km since last August...
Chris
No problem to do just 350 km/tank if you want the rpm to go close to the red zone on a regular basis... not your case nor mine

Auto, DX, bought 1/25/07. Have 4850 kms. City driving. 1st full tank since I bought (I usually only put $25-$30 in tank per time so it never gets full, but that's all I've budgeted for). I'm at the almost 1/4 tank mark and it's at 297 kms. Hopefully, car will get 400kms per tank like my old civic. I'm a little disappointed that I don't get better gas mileage.
Fit DX AT purchased 2006/07/01
145,000km mostly highway driven.
My wife knows I'm crazy because I've recorded every gas purchase onto a Excel spreadsheet to calculate the overall gas consumption as well as a running average of the last 10 fills.
Overall gas consumption is 6.9 liters/100 km (calculated by using total distance and total fuel ever used).
This is about 34.1 miles/US gallon
or 40.9 miles/imperial gallon.
My brother-in-law is using the same spreadsheet for his 2006 Corolla (MT, no air conditioning and very conservatively driven). I sure wish I could get his mileage!
We got 705,000 km from our previous Honda - love those Hondas!

I drove almost 2600km since end of Jan. And I got mostly 390km per tank! Well, mine is an AT sport but 100km difference per tank is a lot. I'm kind of disappointed about my Fit's fuel economy.
