What?~ How do you guyz do that?! Mine is a sport AT and I'm only getting around 350 clicks...one of the explaination i can think of is that I drive up a lot of random hills. I fill mine up with Petro 92...i think...erm the second highest.

I read on the boards that ppl using higher then 89 octane were getting poor milage. And when they switched back to 89 thier milage improved.

Ever since the Barnet Highway has become 2-laned, it's been traffic jam on Clark/North Road everyday!!

I used to get around 6.5L/100km during the summer, now I'm average 7L/100km (around 460ish for 32L of gas). The best I've ever gotten on the FIT was 6.3L/100km.

Read on another forum that filling your gas tank too much is bad for the car. I mean if the gas tank is 41 litres, where is the extra gas going?

I just ran my car dry... yes, I ran out of gas. Let me tell you... it was very embarrassing walking to a gas station, getting gas in a gas can and coming back to my 2008 Honda Fit.

Anyway... I always use the trip-meter.

I got exactly 493km to that tank from totally full, to out of gas.

It's a 2008 Sport MT. I drive it hard... 4000rpm average cruising rpm's and 5500rpm shift points. Mixed city & highway. Not much idle time (waiting for people - I usually shut her off).

So........... 475km is my "Get Gas at the next station!" mark. I speak from experience

Oh yeah! It took exactly 40.5L to fill up from Out Of Gas to Full!

LOL Ya I ran out a few weeks ago too. While at work. And just as I got pulled over for dangerous driving. Went to Chevron and they don't sell Jerry Cans there. So called a coworker to take me to Shell. Pretty embarrassing. Thankfully got off the DD with a warning. Something about they don't like to ticket working guys. Sweet.

It happens to everyone at least once Combo! I think I'm averaging about 400km a tank with heavy defrost usage lately.

I just grabbed the years worth of receipts stacked in my car and tallied the usage i get per fill...I'm all over the place this past summer ranging from as
Low as 7L/100km to as
High as 9L/100km mostly City driving.
The average looks like 7.5L/100km. I haven't been driving it down to empty for awhile but would usually not have a problem hitting at least 500km off a full tank before the empty light comes on.

Also just recently had the car serviced and changed over to synthetic oil. Waiting to fill up again to see how much has changed.

I was getting below 400km per tank before my first oil change. Right afterwards, my fuel consumption dropped significantly. Now I get at least 450km per tank, and it's all city stop and go.

I haven't filled my tank in a while though, just maybe $10 or $20 at a time. But I fulled up the last time at 0.99/L, and I'm already over 420km and I've got almost 1/4 tank left.

That's normal if you are using the defrost a lot or the air conditioning. (if you have not done the no ac defrost mod)

Is your fit auto or manual, are you driving all city during rush hour? Is your heat ever set to defrost? using defrost or the AC will lower mileage by a lot!

Also what octane gas are you putting in, you should be using 89 octane.

I think the highest I got so far was like 391km... but I usually fill end up filling up when the "low fuel" light goes on, or sometimes even a bit earlier.

Still, km per tank isn't as relevant/reliable. The real reliable gauge is, l/100km .. which I seem to be averaging about 8l/100km so far. Overall, anyway. I'll have to do up a spreadsheet pretty soon. I always just reset the trip gauge when i fill up, and then mark down how many kms were on the last "trip" since i last filled up, since, however much you fill up at that moment == how much fuel you used since you last filled up. Hope that makes sense... hehe

averaging 460km a tank 33~36L per fill up
seems after the initial break-in (rite now i got 8500km) the milege turns great..i remember i used to get like 280km 330km max per tank..just today i got 465km with 34L..muahahha

it could be dat i have always used #89 chevron gas tho
