Back to topic... CYpress meet is a MUST, but i need to get winter tirees first.. asked Rev for quotation on some Pirellis... waiting for them to get back to me... stupid Disc calipers limit my options sooo much =\

DO NOT buy snowboarding gear until u actually like the sport, thast my 2 cent right there. I rented equipment for the season, until I get to know how to turn, stop... or simply go where i want to go before i look into gear...

Reason is u dun wanna get gear thats only good for beginners, u wanna get something u can grow into.

and Matt, pro skiiers dun take up the WHOLE SLOPE to turn ~ we carve and we dun slow down for nobody =P

I am down for ANY SKI/SNOWBOARD Trip... but I am still trying to find a way I can get rid of my Advan + tires (for teh season, not for sale~!) So help me guys~!! I have 3 options:

1) Reinstall OEM disc caliper and get 14" wintertires + steelies
2) Get Pirelli Winter 210 205/40R17 on my Advan
3) Pray that someone on FF can pick me and my gf up?

Most shops have rentals. I will NOT recommend renting on the slope cos its more expensive and they give crappy gear. Try The Boardroom or The Pacific Boarder on Burrard / W. 4th AVe. Worst comes to worst, try Sportsmart.

I never tried the Aberdeen centre Sports shop but I heard rumors they make u pay for dings u didng make? @@ Someone might need to look into it =\

If you INSIST getting some gear, I will suggest go to the states NEXT FRIDAY NIGHT and lineup for their Thanksgiving sale at Seattle Outlet. CRAZY DEALS, but get ready to suck up THE COLD and THE CROWD~!

Vince, u may wanna get jacket/pants/helmet/googles/gloves though.. i dun think anyone should rent those... ya know, personal stuff =\

LOL! @ googles!!! i believe they're called goggles hahahaa xD
helmet is NOT necessary, i've never worn helmet before even when i started learning how to snowboard. beanie hat is a GOOD IDEA!!! otherwise your hair will get frozen hahaha!!

prices on renting + all day pass on the slopes will be under $100 for sure.
i remember when i rented a few years ago, it was around $70ish for pass and rental (boots+board)

@ aaron: btw, i meant thoz noob skiiers who turn VERY WIDE
and i don't mind driving you or you driving my car instead.
since i'm still N LOL
