University of Hawaii Football- Big Season

Tonight the Univ of Hawaii Football played tough and beat rivals and perenial WAC champions (10-2) Boise State 39- 27.

Next up is Washington vs Hawaii at Aloha Stadium in a week.

Hawaii is 11-0 so far and trying to break into the BCS bowl schedule by making the top 12 by BCS rankings in 2 weeks.

I watched the game on ESPN2.

Did anyone get to go? It was sold out as is the next game.

This weekend unbeaten previously Kansas lost to Missouri at home 28-36.

Hawaii plays Washington this week. Hawaii remains the only unbeaten team left.

Very big game.

BCS rank is now 12 and a decisive win over Washington would help since many teams are now done with play except-

All BCS rankings
(1) Missouri plays (9) Oklahoma (Big12 Championship at neutral site)
and
(6) Virginia Tech plays at home vs (11) Boston college
and
(7) LSU plays (14) Tennesee (Southeastern Conf Championship)

For BCS team matchups-
Rivals.com College Football - BCS Capsules: How they match up

Suprisingly the most popular bowl is the National championship ($1500 per ticket) followed by the Rose Bowl ($500 per ticket) and then the Sugar Bowl about $400 per ticket now or more.

Vacation packages are still for sale from Hawaii to the Sugar Bowl from about $4000 to $6000 (first class airfare) per person with three day stay.

So who is going to be watching the Sugar Bowl this year???!????

Most are saying that it's going to be interesting to see how the teams match up with offensively passing minded upstart Hawaii challenging perenial powerhouse Georgia.

I just want both teams to bring their "A" games and go at it.

Georgia is favored by 7.5 points today.

Good luck to both teams.

OK the game is history with Hawaii unable to match up vs Georgia.
No surprise there-

Hawaii budget or football each year- $2.2 million, $800,000 per year to coach, $50,000 for recruiting per year.

Georgia- $16 million budget, $2 million to coach and $500,000 for recruiting.

I wonder which team will have the better athletes? No doubt Georgia has as good athletes as any college team. They were well prepared for Hawaii and defensively shut down the Hawaii passing attack with lots of pressure on Colt Brennan all day.

Next stop-
Hawaii vs Florida on the road to start next season. That's going to be equally ugly unless something big happens to change things for the little guys. Florida lost today to unranked Michigan in their bowl game.
