center console for 5sp mt

does it get in the way of shifting?

It depends, when I'm daily driving no it's not much of a bother, however if I'm driving hard it tends to once in a while.

It depends how you shift to 1st, 3rd and 5th. If you're like me shifting with your palm pistol grip style (elbow down). Don't do it.

I installed a taller Momo shift knob so I can rest my elbow on the arm rest and shift. I still occasionally catch myself hitting the console w/ my elbow though.

For me it was. The JDM center console was the 1st thing I got after I got my Fit. My priority was having a place to rest my arm...& it looked nice.
